We Know a Lot Because We've Seen a Lot

One month of 2017 completed already! Time really flies by when you are having fun!  Here is some of the 'fun' we have been having!

Did you know that the Church of the Nazarene has devotions for women available free online?

Neither did I until I was recently contacted about submitting some devotions to be posted there! What a surprise to wake up one morning to a text about writing a series of devotions about emotional trauma for the series this spring.

I have signed a contract and soon you will be able to access these devotions for free. While you wait, you can read other devotions at the Nazarene Women's Page of the international Church of the Nazarene official web page.

It seems that God has given me the talent to write words of encouragement. My goal is to publish more devotions by the end of the year.

Speaking Opportunities

Michael and I have been praying about the possibility of scheduling speaking engagements to talk with congregations about "Handling What Handles You". Over the course of our lives, we have experienced many of the trials and troubles that handle many people. To name a few: 1) death of a spouse 2) chronic illness and 3) job loss. We can totally relate to the insurance advertisement,
We know a lot because we've seen a lot.
WE ARE FARMERS!

This month, Michael was asked to fill in for a local preacher while he attended the district men's retreat. I offered to team preach with him. We put together our first presentation about our trials. We both shared about my chronic illness and events following. Sharing what God is teaching us through our trials can now become a blessing for others. It confirmed for us that we need to work toward creating an event to share with other churches about "Handling What Handles You".

I am also in the process of confirming opportunities to give devotions at both of the Savannah church women's groups.

The kids all seem to be about the same.

Maybe next month they will have something to report. :)

God bless each of you. We love you!
