Day 15 : Making Music

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
1 Peter 1:7

That moment
 When you think
 Things are settling down
And life will return to normal,
But instead it gets
Amped up
 Again.

I imagine you’ve had that moment too. We thought we were getting back to life after my diagnosis and new medications, but it was not to be. As I began reducing the steroids in my system, the pain began to return and then my knees began to swell.

I am reminded of the comparison of life to a keyboard. The ivory keys represent the good and the ebony keys represent the trials. Trust me, the more ebony keys you must play, the more difficult the piece. But when you put them together, it makes the most beautiful music.

in the key of c#

It’s a beautiful piece. Then I thought .. To make the comparison I would listen to something in C Major (no black keys). Here's

While it was pretty as well. My observation was that the Chopin pieces were much prettier and more interesting. The C Major pieces seemed repetitive and I didn’t want to finish listening to the whole piece.

If you apply this to life....

You can plod along in the key of C  and do well,
but what a beautiful life if you live life with the flats and sharps!
